WHO'S THAT LADY MUSIC SHOW (WTLMS) – EPISODE 17: PEDAL TO THE METAL

Who's That Lady Music Show

On WTLMS, I believe and support good music, no matter what genre.  And part of putting together this program is to show my love for exploring other musical territories that are straight up energizing. This episode-"Pedal to the Medal"-brings that eardrum kicking heavy metal.

I thought I'd share with you the WTLMS appreciation and dedication for good music to all my metal viewers. So I reached out to the twitter universe and my good pal, metal connoisseur, Amina and asked them to join in the process with their hardcore two-cents.

And yes, they weighed in heavy!

Peace, Love and Rock on, Headbangers!

LADY ELIX PRESENTS A MUSIC TRIBUTE TO OMAR THE MBE

Happy New Year and welcome to 2014! WTLMS is back again giving you unsaturated, unfiltered and nonjudgmental music. Showcasing all things ROCK, SOUL, POP, DANCE and RAP! So now it’s time to blast off into new and cool music videos, interviews and the happenings in music!

To kick off 2014 we bring you a music video tribute to the King of Neo-Soul, Omar Lye-Fook better known as OMAR. When I first heard his sound, it was during the early days of the Acid Jazz movement. Artists like Brand New Heavies, James Taylor Quartet and of course Jamiroquai dominated the hip and cool scene. For Omar, it was the ‘The Soul of the Boogie Back’ compilation (Painful Truth single featuring Max Beesley’s High Vibes). I was completely blown away with his honey tenor vocals and Sam Cook harmonies. Songs like ‘Saturday’, ‘Outside’ and ‘This is Not A Love Song’ kept my feet smoking on the dance floor. Then fast forward to his latest album, The Man (Freestyle Records), the hybrid soul tour de force album is a diverse sound to be reckoned with. And in tribute to the recently awarded MBE (Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for his Services to Music, WTLMS is taking you on a tour of his work! Omar’s sound will put you in the right groove.

Keep Stepping,

L.E.
